Gunboat Diplomacy is a happy amalgam in our head of J-pop-ism, British Rock-ism, indie-ism, experimental-ism, ripping yarn-ism, optimism, wide-eyed realism, sleepy-time-ism, modernism, post-modernism, romanticism, and a slew of other ~isms.
Artists that could easily find a home in the flotilla range from Beck to Tanizaki, from Kiseru to Blake, from Stone Roses to Saramago, from The Shins to Imamura. If this doesn't sound like a cohesive mission statement for an artist, it's because it isn't. These are just open invites to our own personal cultural armada.
